We observe that people learn best when they are actively engaged with the material.  This philosophy is well-supported in academia, but it is true regardless of the impetus for learning.  With this in mind, Flip-Ed uses interactive media to engage learners.  This engagement increases learner retention of the material and often leads to richer discussion in the classroom.  An added bonus is that learners like it!
